Vyto's Pharmacy and Home Medical Equipment

Vyto's Pharmacy first opened its doors in 1989 with its first location in Hammond, Indiana off of 169th street. For over 20 years the pharmacy has made sure to provide the community with quality products and superior services while relieving costs on its patients. In 2007 the pharmacy opened its second location in Highland, Indiana across from the firestation. Recently we have moved from our Hammond location and are now located on Kennedy Avenue.

Vyto's Pharmacy is a part of United Drugs, which allows us to provide the same great medication at a fraction of the price to our patients. Our compounding department joined  PCCA to ensure our patients receive the best in compounded medications. Vyto's Durable Medical Team has been HQAA accredited to make sure our customers get the newest technologies in DME merchandise and proper Medicare and Medicaid billing.

The staff at Vyto's Pharmacy has been at the cutting edge of pharmaceutical technology by regularly attending pharmacy programs and lectures. Our pharmacists also provide the community with seminars about modern medicine and other healthcare information. Taking care of patients and meeting their needs is what Vyto's Pharmacy is all about. Meet the Owner

Owner and Pharmacist Vyto Damasius graduated from Purdue University in 1969 and began working for the Ribordy Drug Store Corporation. After 17 years of experience, Vyto began working with the Lake County Convalescent Home, and in 1989 was given the opportunity to open his first pharmacy. After almost 20 years he opened his second location in downtown Highland and has recently moved his Hammond location to Kennedy Avenue.

Vyto is a member of the Indiana Pharmacist Alliance, Indiana Retail Council, National Association of Diabetic Educators, Professional Compounding Center of America and National Community of Pharmacists Association.

Locally, Vyto serves on the board of Directors for Lake County Mental Health Association, is a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, John Purdue Athletic Club and the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.

Vyto has been married for over 45 happy years to wife Becky Damasius. Both enjoy spending time with all three of their boys, all of whom work in the health care industry.
